Complete Tune: Start to Finish

$1,250.00
Tune Type

The Complete Tune takes your Link ECU from a fresh base map to a finished, safe tune on one flat price, with 14 hours of tuning time included. You can drop the car off at our West Palm Beach, FL shop, or we can tune it remotely, live over Zoom, while you and your local dyno handle the hands-on work. Remote tuning is always live: we're in PCLink with you in real time, not emailing a map and hoping it starts.

What's included

  1. Build and wiring consult. Before the car runs, we go over your engine, sensors, wiring and goals so the base map matches the hardware. Questions while you're wiring are included.
  2. Base map and first start. We build a base map for your engine, check that the ECU firmware is current, and calibrate and verify every sensor. We confirm fuel pressure and base timing, sort out any no-start issues (spark, fuel, trigger), and dial in cranking and idle.
  3. Engine protection setup. Before any load, we turn on the safety cuts your sensors support: lambda, fuel pressure, oil pressure, and knock.
  4. Street and log tuning. Short drives with live logging to fill in the fuel table, cold start and warm-up, and confirm that boost control and the fuel system are healthy before full throttle.
  5. Dyno session. We tune full load, ignition timing and boost on the dyno. If you're in-shop, we coordinate the dyno. If you're remote, you book a local dyno and we tune live while their operator runs the car.
  6. Post-dyno cleanup. We review logs from normal driving to smooth out throttle response and hot and cold starts, and make sure the protections aren't tripping when they shouldn't.

Session details

14 hours of tuning time are included, shared across all of the sessions below. Each stage is booked as its own live session. Here's what each one covers and how long it usually takes:

Session Typical time What we do
1. First Start 1 to 3 hours Load and confirm the base map, update ECU firmware, calibrate and check every sensor, set base fuel pressure, confirm base timing, fix any no-start issues, then tune cranking and idle. Hold 3,500 RPM briefly, check fans and hot restarts, and turn on engine protection.
2. Live Log Tuning 1-hour sessions, 2 to 4 hours total Short 5-minute drives with logs reviewed live between runs. We apply fuel trims, finish cold start and warm-up, and confirm boost control and fuel delivery are stable before full throttle. If the engine is still breaking in, we use this time for break-in and troubleshooting.
3. Dyno Day 3-hour block Full-load fuel, ignition timing and boost tuning on the dyno. Remote customers book a matching 3-hour slot with their local dyno shop, and we tune live alongside the dyno operator.
4. Follow-Up 1-hour sessions, as needed Review logs from everyday driving to clean up transient throttle, hot and cold starts, and any protection that trips when it shouldn't. Also used for seasonal adjustments.

Included time: your Complete Tune includes 14 hours of tuning time in total, which covers most builds from first start to finished tune. If your project needs more, extra time is billed at $125 per hour. We'll always let you know before you reach the 14 hours.

Scheduling: book at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions run Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern.

Drop-off vs. remote

  • Drop-off (In Shop): bring the car to our West Palm Beach, FL shop and we handle everything hands-on, start to finish, including the driving, logging and dyno time.
  • Remote Tune: you do the physical work (wiring, driving, booking a dyno) and we tune live over Zoom. Remote works for street cars, track builds and race cars anywhere. Race cars that never see the street skip the road tuning and go straight from first start to the dyno.

What you'll need (remote tunes)

  • A Link ECU (G4X, G5 or Plug-In), already installed and powered
  • A wideband O2 sensor wired into the ECU. This is required.
  • A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with PCLink installed (8 GB RAM minimum, 16 GB recommended)
  • A reliable internet connection
  • Zoom installed on the same laptop

Recommended sensors

  • Knock sensor: required for pump-gas builds
  • Flex fuel sensor: required if you'll run ethanol blends
  • Fuel pressure sensor: strongly recommended
  • Oil pressure sensor: recommended
  • EGT sensors: usually only needed for race cars that spend long periods at full throttle

About your internet connection

Wired Ethernet is best, and solid Wi-Fi is the minimum. A phone hotspot only works with a strong 5G signal. For street tuning, the most reliable approach is to record logs on the drive, then connect from home on a good connection to review them and make changes.

Is the Complete Tune right for you?

A great fit for: DIY and garage builds, street cars, track cars, and race teams without a tuner of their own.

Probably not the best fit if: you don't want to do any hands-on work yourself and can't drop the car off, or you don't have a reliable internet connection. Get in touch and we'll help you find the right option.

How to get started

  1. Choose Drop-off or Remote above and book.
  2. We'll contact you to schedule your included consultation and go over your build and goals.
  3. We set the session dates together around your build and your dyno's availability.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a Complete Tune take?

It depends on your build and how ready the car is. A typical tune runs over several sessions: first start, a few log-tuning sessions, a dyno day and follow-ups. 14 hours of tuning time are included, which covers most builds.

What happens if my tune needs more than 14 hours?

Extra time is billed at $125 per hour. We'll let you know before you reach your 14 included hours, so there are no surprises. Common reasons are wiring or mechanical problems that need diagnosing, or adding features partway through.

What does the Complete Tune price include?

Your consult, base map, first start, engine protection setup, street and log tuning, dyno tuning and post-dyno cleanup, with up to 14 hours of tuning time in total. Time beyond 14 hours is $125 per hour. Dyno rental for remote tunes is paid directly to your local dyno shop.

Can I add flex fuel, launch control or other features?

Yes. Choose them from the add-ons above when you book, and they'll be added to your order.

What if my car has a mechanical problem during the tune?

We'll stop and help you diagnose it. Repairs and parts are your responsibility, and we'll pick the tune back up once the car is sorted.

What's the difference between remote and in-person tuning?

Remote: delivered live over Zoom. You drive, log and do any hands-on work while we tune in PCLink in real time. In person: you bring the car to our West Palm Beach shop and we do everything hands-on. The tuning quality is the same either way. Remote just means you are our hands at the car.

Is remote tuning as good as tuning in person?

Yes, and sometimes better. With you or your dyno operator handling the car, we can focus 100% on the tune. Every remote session is live, so nothing is guesswork and every change is checked in real time.

Can I use a phone hotspot for remote tuning?

Only with a strong 5G signal. Wired Ethernet is best, and solid Wi-Fi is the minimum. For street tuning, the most reliable approach is to log on the drive, then connect from home to review and make changes.

Which ECUs do you tune?

Link ECUs, including the G5 Voodoo and Atom, the G4X range and Link Plug-In ECUs. If you have an older Link ECU, contact us and we'll let you know what we can do.

Can I reschedule?

Yes. Contact us as early as possible and we'll find a new time.

Are sessions refundable?

Tuning time is a custom service, so completed sessions are non-refundable. See the Tuning Waiver for details.

Do I need to accept the waiver?

Yes. Every tuning booking requires you to accept the Tuning Waiver before you can schedule.
