Frequently asked questions

Which tuning service should I book?

Free Consultation: not sure what you need. 1 Hour: one specific job or question. 3 Hours: a few related jobs or a first start. Half Day: street tuning or retuning after hardware changes. Full Day: a dyno day or major work. Complete Tune: the whole car, start to finish, at one flat price.

What's the difference between remote and in-person tuning?

Remote tuning is delivered live over Zoom. You handle the car (driving, logging, or working with your local dyno) while we tune in PCLink in real time. In-person tuning means bringing the car to our West Palm Beach, FL shop and we do everything hands-on. The quality of the tune is the same either way.

Is remote tuning as good as tuning in person?

Yes. Every remote session is live, so we see the data and make changes in real time. We never email you a map and hope for the best. With you or your dyno operator handling the car, we can focus 100% on the tune.

What do I need for remote tuning?

A Link ECU that's installed and powered, a wideband O2 sensor wired to the ECU, a Windows 10 or 11 laptop with PCLink and Zoom installed, and a reliable internet connection. A knock sensor is required for pump-gas cars, and a flex fuel sensor if you run ethanol blends.

Which ECUs do you tune?

We're an authorized Link ECU dealer and tune Link ECUs, including the G5 Voodoo and Atom, the G4X range and Link Plug-In ECUs. Contact us about older Link models.

Do I need a dyno?

Not for most work: setup, first start, idle, cold start and street log tuning don't need one. Full-load and boost tuning is best done on a dyno. In person, we arrange it. Remotely, you book your local dyno and we tune live alongside the operator.

What does the Complete Tune include?

Everything from base map and first start through engine protection setup, street and log tuning, dyno tuning and follow-up cleanup, with 14 hours of tuning time included. Extra time beyond 14 hours is $125 per hour, and add-ons like flex fuel and launch control are available when you book.

What if a session runs out of time?

We'll let you know before time runs out and stop at a safe point with a saved, working map. Book another session to continue where we left off.

How far ahead do I need to book?

Book at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions run Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern.

Can I reschedule or get a refund?

You can reschedule. Just contact us as early as possible. Tuning time is a custom service, so completed sessions are non-refundable. See the Tuning Waiver for details.

Why do I have to accept a waiver?

Engine tuning carries real risk to the engine and drivetrain, even when it's done carefully. The Tuning Waiver explains those risks and your responsibilities, and every tuning booking requires you to accept it.
