Link ECU tuning in PCLink software

Tuning Session: 1 Hour

$125.00

One hour of focused Link ECU tuning time with us, in person at our West Palm Beach, FL shop or remotely live over Zoom. It's ideal for a single job: a quick fix, a specific question, or a small change to an existing map.

Great for

  • Fixing a specific problem, such as a hard start, rough idle, a stall or a check-engine-style fault
  • Checking your base settings and sensor calibrations
  • Reviewing a data log and making targeted changes
  • Setting up a single feature: an output, fan or pump control, a shift light or a dash input
  • Small adjustments after a minor part change
  • PCLink help: getting comfortable making your own changes

Two ways to tune

Remote Tuning (live over Zoom)

Remote sessions are delivered live over Zoom, wherever you are. We connect to PCLink on your laptop and tune in real time while the car is running. We don't email you a map and wait for logs. You handle the physical side: driving, wiring, plugging in sensors, or working with your local dyno operator. That leaves us free to focus entirely on the tune.

  • Live tuning with real-time changes, so you can see exactly what we're doing and why
  • Works for street cars, track cars and race cars anywhere
  • For street tuning, record short logs on the drive, then connect from home on a stable connection so we can review them together and make changes
  • For dyno work, you book your local dyno and we tune live alongside their operator

In-Person Tuning (at our shop)

Bring your car to our West Palm Beach, FL shop and we handle the tuning hands-on. It's the best choice if you'd rather not do the driving and logging yourself, or if the car needs wiring or setup work before it can be tuned.

  • We take care of the laptop, logging and road or dyno testing
  • Hands-on diagnosis of wiring, sensor and setup problems
  • Shop hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern

How booking works

  1. Book: accept the Tuning Waiver, click Schedule Your Time and pick a date and time that works for you.
  2. Prep: we'll contact you before the session to go over your car, your goals and what to have ready, so no time is wasted.
  3. Tune: bring the car to our shop, or join the live Zoom session from your car with your laptop connected to the ECU.
  4. Wrap-up: we save the map, make a backup copy, and go over what was changed and what to watch for next.

What you'll need for a remote session

  • A Link ECU, installed and powered
  • A wideband O2 sensor wired into the ECU (required for any fuel tuning)
  • A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with the latest PCLink installed (8 GB RAM minimum)
  • A reliable internet connection. Wired Ethernet or strong Wi-Fi is best.
  • Zoom installed on the same laptop
  • A knock sensor for pump-gas cars, and a flex fuel sensor if you run ethanol blends

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between remote and in-person tuning?

Remote: delivered live over Zoom. You drive, log and do any hands-on work while we tune in PCLink in real time. In person: you bring the car to our West Palm Beach shop and we do everything hands-on. The tuning quality is the same either way. Remote just means you are our hands at the car.

Is remote tuning as good as tuning in person?

Yes, and sometimes better. With you or your dyno operator handling the car, we can focus 100% on the tune. Every remote session is live, so nothing is guesswork and every change is checked in real time.

Can I use a phone hotspot for remote tuning?

Only with a strong 5G signal. Wired Ethernet is best, and solid Wi-Fi is the minimum. For street tuning, the most reliable approach is to log on the drive, then connect from home to review and make changes.

Which ECUs do you tune?

Link ECUs, including the G5 Voodoo and Atom, the G4X range and Link Plug-In ECUs. If you have an older Link ECU, contact us and we'll let you know what we can do.

What if we run out of time?

We'll tell you before your time runs out and stop at a safe point with a saved, working map. You can book another session to pick up where we left off. If your project needs more time than you expected, the Complete Tune may be better value.

Do I need a dyno?

Not for most session work: setup, diagnostics, idle, cold start and street logging can all be done without one. Full-load and boost tuning is best done on a dyno. For remote customers, we tune live while your local dyno shop runs the car.

Can I reschedule?

Yes. Contact us as early as possible and we'll find a new time.

Are sessions refundable?

Tuning time is a custom service, so completed sessions are non-refundable. See the Tuning Waiver for details.

Do I need to accept the waiver?

Yes. Every tuning booking requires you to accept the Tuning Waiver before you can schedule.

Which session should I book?

1 Hour: one specific job or question. 3 Hours: a few related jobs, or finishing part of a map. Half Day: a big block of work like street tuning or tuning after hardware changes. Full Day: major work, multiple maps or a dyno day. Complete Tune: the whole job, start to finish, at one flat price. Not sure? Book a free consult.
